The trailer for Domhnall Gleeson's new Oscar-tipped Winnie The Pooh film is absolutely adorable

Could it be Dumble’s year?

DOMHNALL GLEESON HAS had a busy couple of years, landing roles in everything from critically acclaimed Oscar contenders to romantic comedies to action-packed blockbusters.

In 2015, every single film he starred in – Ex Machina, Brooklyn, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Revenant – went on to be nominated for an Oscar.

This year, Gleeson is set to star opposite bona fide megastars like Tom Cruise and Jennifer Lawrence in American Made and Mother!, respectively.

His biggest role of the year, however, comes in Goodbye Christopher Robin, a period drama about beloved children’s author AA Milne, played by Gleeson, and the origins of Winnie The Pooh.

The story takes place in post-World War 1 Britain and touches on Milne’s struggles with post traumatic stress disorder. (Milne was injured while serving in the Battle of the Somme in 1916.)

Let’s just say it’s fierce emotional.

Gleeson stars opposite Margot Robbie, Kelly McDonald, Phoebe Waller Bridge and more. Did we mention he does a very good British accent? The kind you can easily imagine appearing on old British Pathé reels?

The film is already picking up buzz with many Oscar prognosticators including it on their Oscar contender lists. (Sure, don’t the Oscars love a good British period drama?)

Who knows? Maybe it’ll be Dumble’s year.
