Sexton shaves D'Arcy's magnificent beard off after Six Nations win

NOOOOOooooooooooo!

THERE HAVE BEEN several highlights throughout Ireland’s Six Nations journey, culminating of course in yesterday’s win and Brian O’Driscoll’s farewell.

However, the true star of this whole thing has been Gordon D’Arcy’s beard.

Magnificent, hirsute, celebratory.

Back in February Jonathan Sexton pledged to shave the beard off if Ireland were to win their next three games, and between then and now it has become a looming threat in the event of a Six Nations win.

Now, he’s come good on his promise and last night on the team bus D’Arcy bid farewell to his marvellous face rug.
