JOHN TRAVOLTA SHOULD probably avoid Rotten Tomatoes for the next little while if he knows what’s good for him. Critics have absolutely destroyed his new movie ‘Gotti’ giving it a 0% rating on the website which is a pretty rare event.
Travolta plays the infamous mob boss John Joseph Gotti who was the boss of the Gambino crime family in New York. He was known for his taste in fine clothes and was given the nickname ‘The Teflon Don’ after he was acquitted in 3 separate high profile trials.
Sounds like an interesting plot for a movie right? Well according to the critics reviews of it, the movie itself is pretty rotten.
Peter Travers of Rolling Stone wrote;
Starring in this mobster biopic that deserves to get whacked is an offer Travolta should have refused. Insane testimonials from Gotti supporters at the end are as close as this s—show will ever get to good reviews.
There are some excellent puns and jokes throughout many of the reviews and hats off for shoving so many of them in. Frank Lovece of Newsday called it ‘a connect the dots disaster’.

Vincent Mancini of FilmDrunk wrote said the movie ‘feels exactly like it was directed by a grown man who owns a framed ‘Scarface’ poster.’ I think that means at least half of the Irish population who grew up between 1984 – 2000 but we can’t be sure.
But it was Johnny Oleksinski of the New York Post who provided the best review.
I’d rather wake up next to a severed horse head than ever watch “Gotti” again.
Yikes.
I read the bad reviews and know it's probably terrible, but I am fascinated by GOTTI because it seems like they just let the New York Post comment section make a movie. A Film By 70 Different Guys Named Angelo Saying "He Was A Man Of Honuh."

Gotti joins the likes of Jaws: The Revenge, Police Academy 4, The Nutcracker in 3D and Derailed in receiving a 0% rating on the website which is an accolade I’m sure John Travolta always wanted.
You will note that the user rating for the movie is about 75% but there is only one review in the comments section which seems kind of odd. Maybe there’s a Rotten Tomatoes conspiracy, who knows?
The movie’s Twitter account released a video attacking the critics calling them ‘trolls behind keyboards’ which is mature.
Audiences loved Gotti but critics don’t want you to see it… The question is why??? Trust the people and see it for yourself! pic.twitter.com/K6a9jAO4UH

‘Gotti’ doesn’t have a UK or Irish release date yet so you make have to find another source to watch it on or hope against hope that Netflix picks it up.
