ALL THAT WALKING back and forth while keeping guard outside of Buckingham Palace in London got a bit boring for this unidentified soldier.

In an effort to shake things up a bit and entertain tourists, the soldier took to freezing on the spot, switching his walk to slow motion, and even pirouetting back to his sentry box.

The footage was uploaded on August 20 by a tourist visiting Queen Elizabeth II’s home when they noticed his unusual walk, including what seems to be a skit where he pretends to pick something off the ground. The Queen herself was at her residence in Balmoral, Scotland on the date, but it’s not known if any other member of the royal family were at home.

The Grenadier Guards are the most senior regiment of the Guards division in the British army, but comments on the video were largely appreciating the messer.

This is one of the most boring jobs in the British army and he is injecting a little artistic licence into to it for the crowds.

It’s a harmless bit of fun and entertainment for the crowd. He is still doing his job but showing his human side too. Its not as if his job requires any real urgency, its an old tradition which is largely pointless now anyway.

His job is to pace up and down all day with no single threat in sight ever. Jesus. Let him have some fun.

The moves aren’t being taken as lightly by the Ministry of Defence.

A spokeswoman told the Daily Mail that “Anyone who is found to fall short of the Army’s high standards can expect to face appropriate action”.

Buckingham Palace had no comment to make on the soldier’s moves, but said it is “a matter for the Ministry of Defence and his regiment”.
