Guinness and a feed at Charlie's Chinese: Usher's night out in Dublin
PINTS OF GUINNESS, a late need feed in Charlie’s and a run-in with the gardaí. A typical Saturday night out in Dublin for some perhaps, but not so typical for R’n'B star Usher.
The multi-million selling artist was in town a couple of weekends ago to play a date at the O2. After the gig he visited Bruxelles pub on Harry Street, Charlie’s Chinese takeaway and the Wright Venue in Swords.
Best of all though, his exploits in the capital were captured on camera and uploaded to the singer’s own Youtube channel. A night out in Dublin Usher-style, with over-the-top production, a cheesy soundtrack and some great accents. Not too sure about the ‘autograph’ for the gardai at the end though.
Interestingly, Usher protegé and teen heartthrob Justin Bieber is currently in town – he’s too young to partake of a pint but will he stop off in Charlie’s for a chicken chow mein? Dundrum Town Centre is reported to be closing its doors to allow the Canadian pop sensation to shop there in privacy. The Bieber plays the O2 on March 8 and 9.
