Gwyneth Paltrow to appear on Glee

The Oscar-winning actor will turn songbird for her cameo in the hit TV show.

THE CREATOR OF hit US television show Glee has confirmed that Oscar-winning actor Gwyneth Paltrow will star in two upcoming episodes.

Ryan Murphy told the BBC that he had written a part especially for Paltrow, saying: “Gwyneth is a great singer. She’s done it a little bit but I really want to show it off and show everyone how great she is.”

Paltrow has sung before in films such as Duets, released in 2000, and Infamous, in 2006.

She is also playing a songstress in her upcoming film, which tells the story of a fallen country singer and is due for release next year.

Javier Bardem is also due make an appearance on the hit show. Murphy said Bardem ”wants to play a crazy Spanish rock and roll singer”.

The second series of Glee has already begun to air in the US – but unfortunately fans in Ireland will have to wait until January to watch the show on TV.
