Someone hacked an LA traffic sign to say "Read a f***ing book"
WELL, THAT’S ONE way to promote reading.
On Thursday night, motorists in downtown Los Angeles were treated to this message on a traffic sign encouraging them in no uncertain terms to pick up a goddamn book.
That the city of Los Angeles would encourage its citizens to read through the medium of traffic signs came as a surprise to many and, as it turns out, the whole thing was a result of a hack.
According to LA Weekly, the LA Department of Transportation has said that the digital traffic sign “looks like it was hacked”.
Nobody has claimed responsibility for the hack, but we reckon they’re sitting back and feeling rather proud of themselves.
Sam Smith says he was ‘hacked’ after internet unearths mortifying tweet from 2012 >
This little girl loves books more than you’ll ever love anything >
