TWITTER HAS GIVEN itself a celebratory pat on the back for its fifth birthday.

The social networking site is five years in business today and has posted a video from some of its more famous (sadly, not Charlie Sheen) users at discover.twitter.com.

The short video includes tributes from musicians, an astronaut and a zookeeper – but also from the likes entrepreneur Richard Branson, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, celeb stylist Rachel Zoe and tennis star Serena Williams.

There is also a rather creepy message from tabloid newspaper editor-turned-chatshow host Piers Morgan who says:

The best way of finding out what my guests are up to before they come on my show is to follow them on Twitter…

But best of all – if you’re not Martha Stewart that is – is this message from rapper Snoop Dogg:

I like to follow my home girl Martha Stewart, ‘cos Martha Stewart, she keeps it scuttered and buttered, baked and flaked, she love to wake and bake with the big Snoop Dogg, you feel me?

Can’t say that we do, Snoop, can’t say that we do.
