TODAY MARKS THE birthday of singer-songwriter Art Garfunkel – who is celebrating his seventieth year.

Perhaps best known as half of the phenomenally successful American folk duo Simon and Garfunkel in the 1960s, Garfunkel has also enjoyed a career spanning music, film and poetry.

We’ve put together a few of the most memorable songs he has performed over the years for your easy-listening pleasure, in honour of the man – and the hair – that is Art Garfunkel.
