THE CATHOLIC PRIEST who is the honorary president of the International Association of Exorcists has called the seemingly innocuous practice of yoga and the popular book series Harry Potter ‘evil’.

According to The Telegraph, Father Gabriele Amorth believes that practising yoga “is satanic, it leads to evil just like Harry Potter”.

Fr Amorth was the Vatican’s head exorcist and said he has cleansed evil spirits from hundreds of people.

His reason for denouncing yoga? Its links to Hinduism, which he says has its basis on the “false belief” in reincarnation.

And as for poor Harry, he believes the book series about the popular young wizard “acts in a crafty and covert manner” and encourages children to believe in black magic.

Fr Amorth believes that Satan is always hidden, and that he offers us temptations.

Italian yoga schools have said Fr Amorth’s opinion that their practice is evil is “an accusation that has nothing to do with reality”.
