Harry Shearer just tweeted that he's leaving The Simpsons
HARRY SHEARER, ONE of the main voice actors on the Simpsons since 1989, has confirmed that he is leaving the show.
He tweeted the news today, saying that his decision to leave was due to wanting the freedom to do other work. He quoted writer and producer James L Brooks assuring that the show will go on.

Shearer is know for voicing characters such as Ned Flanders, Mr Burns, Waylon Smithers, Lenny, Kent Brockman, Otto, Reverend Lovejoy and Principal Skinner.
It was reported earlier in the week that Shearer was holding off signing a new contract, with TMZ claiming it could be due to merchandising payments.
Will the show go on? The Simpsons announced it was renewed for two more seasons earlier this month, and is currently in it’s 26th season.
One thing’s for sure, fans aren’t happy.
