Have a spare €50m? You could buy this Kildare estate at a knockdown price
IT HAS BEEN on the market since 2009 but Lyons Demesne, an impressive 600-acre estate in County Kildare, now has a slashed price tag of €50 million.
The property – a Georgian mansion – was built in the 1780s and was most recently bought by Ryanair founder Tony Ryan who completely refurbished it at an estimated cost of €100 million.
Christie’s Great Estates agency, which is marketing the property internationally, says the property boasts three reception rooms, a private cinema, gymnasium, billards room, pub, wine cellar and indoor swimming pool.
Any potential buyer has also been assured that private jet access is available on request within three miles of the estate, while 24-hour helicopter landing facilities are actually onsite.
