IT’S HARD TO believe that tonight we’re about to see the second last episode of Love Island.
ITV really saved the best until last, with the Islander’s parents dropping by to pay a visit. After 8 weeks of separation, there was plenty to talk about. Let’s look at Alex and Alexandra first of all.
Alexandra’s mother was so proud of how she handled the Alex situation and she didn’t hold back when she got to meet the man who had been wrecking her daughter’s head.
That was one thing that I didn’t grasp. When you recoupled and you seemed to expect her to be grateful, and you… I think made some comment… “What’s the matter with her? Why’s she so grumpy?” What did you expect a girl to feel like after she’d been rejected? I thought, “Hey young man. I’ll have words with you.”
And Alex’s mam? Well she was a bit embarrassed watching her son interact with Alexandra.
She seems such a lovely girl. It was hard to watch that conversation, but if you’re not feeling it you’re just being honest. The easiest thing to do would have been just to let it run.
Dani was only delighted to see her dad again, although it was only via webcam. Danny Dyer joked that he can’t wait to get his hands around Jack’s neck, and called Jack a geezer.
Babe, he’s lovely. He’s a proper geezer mate. You’ve found a right proper geezer in there.
Look at him, look at him. Look at his little face. Do you know what Jack? Listen. Proper geezer, gotta say. I’ll tell you what I love about you, I love the fact you got a little Derby. You got so much charisma. Takes a brave man to bowl into that gaff, them all ‘abbed up’, proper geezer. Honestly mate, we’re so over the moon.
We also get to see Jack’s brother, who is just as much of a geezer.
As for the other contestants, Kaz sees her mam who is really concerned about how life outside the villa is going to be, while Josh’s dad is amazed by the charm he displayed on TV.
Megan’s dad can’t believe how much she laughed. Yeah, same. Meanwhile, Wes is left a bit red-faced after his mam brings up the Do Bits Society. It was going to happen sooner or later.
