THERE WAS CEOIL, caint and the odd bit of craic to be found in pubs across the country last night as a glass was raised to Arthur Guinness on his very own day.
At 17.59, there was an official “toast to Arthur” with well-known musical acts, including the likes of Scissor Sisters and Paolo Nutini, later performing at venues across Dublin.
Sales of Guinness were no doubt up on the third annual celebration of the master brewer and there was little doubt whatever people were drinking there was plenty of craic flowing.
Here’s a few snaps from the night via Press Association, Photocall Ireland and TheJournal.ie readers.
