Little Dublin restaurant Heron and Grey just got a Michelin star, and the food is absolute art

*M&S voice* This is not just food…

THOUGH WE ADORE a good curry cheese chip, we can appreciate a bit of finer dining too – and this is just about the finest there is.

This morning, Ireland’s newest Michelin Star was awarded to Dublin restaurant Heron and Grey, which opened only last December.

The Blackrock eatery is named for owners Andrew Heron, who manages front of house, and head chef Damien Grey.

The five-course tasting menu changes weekly depending on the seasonal ingredients available – and well, it’s not just food.

It’s pretty much art

This is butternut squash, but not as you know it

And this? Mushrooms and watercress

This is a delicate peach and pistachio dessert

People are calling it the ‘best food’ they’ve had in Dublin recently

It’s a foodie’s dream

That there is the snazziest cream cheese you’ve ever seen.

Right down to this perfect little cheese plate

Damn. Heron & Grey – one to keep in mind if you’re ever feeling fancy.
