This morning, Hollywood residents woke up to discover that the iconic Hollywood sign has been altered so that it reads ‘Hollyweed’.
The new sign is apparently celebrating California’s recent legalisation of recreational marijuana.
TMZ reports that the cunning vandal used tarp to change the Os into Es.
This is not the first time someone has played this prank. In 1976, a student named Danny Finegood altered the sign to read “Hollyweed” as well and turned it in as a school project. He got an A.

This morning, Hollywood residents woke up to discover that the iconic Hollywood sign has been altered so that it reads ‘Hollyweed’.
The new sign is apparently celebrating California’s recent legalisation of recreational marijuana.
TMZ reports that the cunning vandal used tarp to change the Os into Es.
