WERE YOU EXPECTING the first big scandal of the Leaving Cert to be over English Paper II? You were wrong.
The Home Economics exam seems to pass by every year unremarked upon. Today, however, Home Ec students’ world was rocked by the unexpected appearance of eggs on the paper.

Why unexpected? Well, there has never been a question on the nutritional properties of eggs in the history of Home Ec as a Leaving Cert subject. And students weren’t prepared for it to come up now.
And that’s why they are now roundly trashing seemingly innocent eggs on Twitter.
