IT’S BEEN EIGHT long weeks, but we got there in the end, people.
Hugh Wallace, Patrick Bradley and Deirdre Whelan have travelled the length and breadth of Ireland having a good nose around people’s homes over the last two months, and last night it was finally time to make their decision.
And with viewers on the edge of their seats and owners hoping they’d done enough to impress the trio, the accolade ultimately went to the owners of a gorge farmhouse cottage in the Wicklow Hills.
Yep, Patrick and Ros reigned supreme, and are now the proud owners of the Home of the Year trophy.
And, as usual, Twitter had a lot to say on the subject.
While some people were only bloody thrilled for Patrick and Ros, others felt the other contestants had been robbed, and weren’t as impressed by the Wicklow home as the panel of expert judges.
And sure, the proud pair had barely had gotten their hands wrapped around the trophy before Twitter was off, giving it loads.
Take a look at this…
And then there was the small matter of the actual accolade.
