Someone invaded the stage during Honey G's performance on the X Factor last night

It’s Calvin Harris and the pineapple all over again!

ANOTHER WEEK, ANOTHER Honey G spectacle on the X Factor. But this one wasn’t quite of her own making.

Last night, the controversial contestant performed MC Hammer’s Can’t Touch This to the usual mix of derision from the viewers at home and praise from the judges.

However during their critiques, a man ran on stage and grabbed the mic from her – the camera quickly cut to the judges, but it was clear something was afoot:

Shout out to Louis for just continuing on with his critique as Sharon, Nicole and Simon jump out of their seats.

It’s not the first time someone has stormed the X Factor stage – in 2009, Calvin Harris (yes, that Calvin Harris) ran on stage with a pineapple on his head during one of Jedward’s performances.

Harris insisted that his stunt was a comment on the “frightening stranglehold” Simon Cowell and the X Factor have on the UK charts. So what’s this lad’s excuse?

Well, according to Metro, ‘Internet pranksters’ Trollstation are claiming to be behind the invasion – members of the group were jailed earlier this year for staging a fake heist at the National Portrait Gallery in London.

One member claimed he was “making his X Factor debut” on Facebook, while this video was posted on the group’s Twitter account shortly after the incident:

Whatever their intention, they’ve made some people very happy:

We’ll find out if Honey G has made it through to the semi-finals tonight. Fingers crossed?
