Hot dogs are officially not sandwiches - and the whole of America is arguing about it
LAST WEEK IN the US saw the annual celebration that is National Sandwich Day take place.
Among the festivities and general sandwich enjoyment – one argument broke out among so many people:
Are hot dogs considered sandwiches?
Radio hosts did polls on the matter
Presidential candidates weighed in with their opinions
The debate raged so much that the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council of the United States released a statement on the important matter:
They definitively said that hot dogs are NOT sandwiches:
