IT’S A UNIVERSALLY accepted fact that if someone is wearing headphones, they do not want people to talk to them.
And yet in 2016, the year of our Lord, there are still some people who flout this social code. It’s a disgrace, Joe.
Yesterday, Twitter unearthed an article from a website called The Modern Man entitled How To Talk To A Woman Who Is Wearing Headphones.
The extremely comprehensive article offers tips and advice for men who wish to bother women wearing headphones.
These days, many women walk around playing with a smartphone or tablet device and are often wearing headphones and listening to music at the same time. Yet, that doesn’t mean you can’t talk to them.
Of course, not all women are open to being approached because not all women are single and looking. However, if a woman wearing headphones is single and hoping to meet a boyfriend (or even a new lover), she will almost always be happy to take off her headphones to give you an opportunity to create a spark with her.
The article goes on to list ways to get a woman’s attention.
As you can see, they *just* stop short of advising men to stand in front of a woman with a boombox, blaring Can’t Take Me Eyes Off You.
Horrifying. And somehow it gets worse!

More like “[Most likely wondering what she did in a previous life to be forced to endure this interaction and trying to discern if this man is an immediate threat]“.
As you can imagine, the article has sparked outrage on Twitter.
