This Irish girl managed to get Three to sort out their 'no fadas' policy

VICTORY!

A FEW WEEKS ago, Caoimhe Ní Chathail found herself in a spot of bother while filling out a form on Three’s website.

The form refused to recognise her surname as it contained a fada. When Ní Chathail complained about this to Three’s customer service, she was advised to try entering her name in English.

D’oh.

That suggestion didn’t go down too well with people on Twitter and Three subsequently apologised for the “embarrassing slip-up”.

At the time, Ní Chathail vowed to pursue with Three and just two weeks later, it seems that she’s gotten some results.

Yesterday, she received an e-mail from Three informing her that the issue has been resolved and that people with fadas in their name will no longer be told that their name is “invalid”.

Three told Ní Chathail that they were “delighted” to have come up with a solution to the problem.
