TODAY, A PROCESSION in celebration of women’s rights is taking place in Belfast.

The march marks 100 years since the Suffragettes won the right to vote, and it’s also being used to highlight women’s issues that still need to be tackled, such as the need for access to free, safe and legal abortion.

Groups that rallied together and canvassed the entire country ahead of the referendum on May 25th have organised buses to the Belfast to show their solidarity at #Processions2018, in hopes of making the promise that “the North is next” come true.

From Dublin Central…

And Dublin Bay North…

To Dun Laoghaire…

And Leitrim…

To Sligo…

Waterford, and beyond…

Those who couldn’t take to the streets this afternoon, are still offering their solidarity online.

Everyone involved deserves a little bualadh bos for finding the energy after the last couple of weeks.
