IT CAN BE tempting to use filters or Photoshop to eliminate your flaws and blemishes.
But a photographer has explained why it isn’t always the best idea…
Victoria Caroline is a photographer based in San Francisco.
She specialises in taking boudoir portraits of women. A few days ago, she took to Facebook to outline a time when she took photos of a woman.
After spending time removing every visible flaw, the woman gave the photos to her husband for Christmas.

A few days later, Victoria Caroline says she received an e-mail from the woman’s husband.
He went on to explain that he didn’t feel as though the photos represented his wife.
And the photos? Well, they served as a bit of a wake-up call.
Indeed, Victoria Caroline ended her status with a plea reminding women to embrace themselves, flaws and all.
Sometimes that’s all you need to hear.
