I do! The top six most unusual proposals - on video

Get down on bended knee and ask your partner to marry you? That’s not enough for these folks, who went all out when it came to proposing. Luckily for us, they captured it on video too.

FOR SOME PEOPLE, it’s not enough to go the simple route when asking someone to marry them. Oh no – they have to do it their way.

And luckily for us, if they’re thoughtful enough to arrange an out-of-this-world proposal, they usually go to the bother of recording it too.

So here’s our top six most unusual proposals – all caught on video.

  • It’s Tuesday 1 November, on a tube somewhere between London Euston and South Hampstead. A group of people start singing the Bill Withers song Lovely Day… and little does one passenger know that her day is going to get a whole lot lovelier.

  • Go to the cinema? Nothing unusual there. But go to the cinema – and discover that your boyfriend made a short film all about how he wants to marry you? Five stars.

  • A trip to Disney turns into more than this young woman bargained for when her boyfriend enlists the help of some dancers… and a song called – wait for it – Marry Me.

  • This man wants to – whisper it – ask his girlfriend to marry him. But does she get the message?

  • Joe Benarroch and Jason Fournier met by accident one night while waiting for a bus – six years later, Joe found a wonderful way of proposing to his other half. Sorry, I think I have something in my eye…

  • What is with marriage proposals and music? They go together like bees and honey. Here’s a video of a musical proposal one young woman put together for her girlfriend – it’s ten minutes of song, dance and even bellydancing. One for the ultra-romantics.
