A rake of celebrity actors are trying to start the new ice bucket challenge

They’re heading to Twitter to recite pop songs in the style of Shakespeare – and it’s kind of gas.

WE’VE ALL SEEN some fairly big social media charity initiatives in our time – the ice bucket challenge and no make-up selfie being the most obvious.

Now a clatter of British actorshave started up their own movement for the Red Cross – and it’s called #15SecondShakespeare.

Basically, you recite pop songs in the style of Shakespeare and nominate a couple of your other celebrity pals to do so.

“We want pre nup, WE WANT PRE NUP”

The actors taking part are doing so for the Red Cross, and over the last 24 hours the number people involved has exploded on Twitter – all under the #15SecondShakespeare hashtag.

Hearing songs like you’ve never heard them before

It might lack the accessibility of the ice bucket challenge, but it’s got enough celebrity backers to see it take over Twitter for quite a while anyway

We just need Amy Huberman, Jamie Dornan et al to climb on board this train and we’re set.
