A DUBLIN restaurant well known to city residents and late night revellers has gone on the rental market.

The Gigs Place on Lower Richmond Street opened in 1970 and is described in the rental advert as an “iconic venue for late night revellers who want something better than ‘fast food’.”

Serving food and wine from midnight until around 6am, the venue is well known for its full Irish accompanied by bottles of wine.

“The gigs place is pretty strange beast,” says one reviewer on Yelp, while another posts: “I can’t actually remember what the food is like, but I know that they do a full Irish breakfast, because there’s still an egg stain on my favourite trousers.”

According to the listing posted on property website Daft.ie, The Gigs Place comes with planning permissions granted for a take-away coffee business at the front of the restaurant. It also says that the rent is negotiable.
