THE IRISH FILM and Television Awards were on last night which meant that there was a bit of glitz and glamour about the place.

A number of great shows were up for awards including Sharon Horganās Catastrophe, Room To Improve, Derry Girls and the Young Offenders. It looked like everyone was having a great time anyway if this crossover of Derry Girls meeting the Young Offenders is to be believed.

So how did everyone do?
Well Sharon Horgan took home the Best Female Performance Award while Dermot Bannon and the Room to Improve team scooped up Best Factual Programme. Good man Dermot. He was thrilled and all.

Ā
All eyes were on the Best Comedy award where Young Offenders and Derry Girls were facing off. Derry Girls took home the prize with Lisa McGee taking home the Best Comedy Writer award too. A great night all round for both shows.
Remember this scene? Every tiny part of it was made in @LisaMMcGeeās brain, sheās magic, she deserves this so much
