Mam develops app that forces teenagers to answer phone calls from their parents

“I was in the cinema” won’t cut it as an excuse anymore.

EVER LOOKED AT your phone, seen ‘MAM CALLING’ on the screen and surreptitiously put it in your pocket, pretending not to have seen it and continued about your day?

No more, if this Mam has anything to do with it.

Frustrated with her son repeatedly ignoring her calls, Sharon Standifird has developed an app called Ignore No More, which allows parents to lock their children’s phones remotely. The only way to unlock it? By calling their parents to retrieve a passcode.

For while the phone all but shuts down and leaves the user unable to access apps, text or use the internet, the app does allow them to contact their parents or emergency services.

YOU SNEAKY MOM.

Not a fan of the app? Standifird’s teenage son Bradley. “Um, well I thought it was a good idea, but for other people, not me,” he told CBS New York.

You’re in our thoughts, Bradley.
