In pictures: Are you tough enough? The Tough Guy challenge

How did you spend your weekend?

THIS YEAR’S Tough Guy challenge, an event billed as the “safest most dangerous taste of physical and mental endurance pain in the world” was held in Perton, England yesterday.

Thousands of people turned out for the annual event across a 13-kilometre obstacle course which involves jumping into freezing water, crawling beneath barbed wire, and running through fire.

Typically, one-third of the competitors who set out at the start of the event don’t manage to finish the course.

This year’s winner was Scottish mountain fell runner Scott Cassidy.
