In pictures: Awesome (and unusual) animal combos

From abandoned opossums and their feline friend, to a dog-loving duck…

WHILE GOING THROUGH the photo archives of the Press Association recently, we came across a selection of images marked as ‘Animal Unusual Combos’.

Further inquiry found that the these images were mostly taken between 1961 and 1968, and that they certainly live up to their assignation as ‘unusual’ combinations of creatures.

Feast your eyes on some of these vintage animal combos below, including a Jack Russell and her adopted racoon cub, and a St Bernard and its guinea pig friend:
