In pictures: Christmas tree lights turned on at Leinster House
It’s been a tough few weeks for the government as they’ve battled with seemingly endless leaks of the upcoming austerity Budget.
However it hasn’t all been doom and gloom – today, some of the most senior politicians in the country got to do one of the (few) fun things about their job: turning on the Christmas tree lights outside Leinster House.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny, Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore and Ceann Comhairle Sean Barrett enthusiastically took part in a carol service outside parliament this afternoon along with members of the Oireachtas choir.
