FOR ANYONE WHO might not be aware, a hashtag celebrating the United States is currently trending on Twitter.
Well, that’s hardly surprising, says you, given the fact it’s the 4th of July - a federal holiday in the US, which commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
But here’s the thing – the hashtag is spelled incorrectly.
Ladies and gentleman, more than 60,ooo people on Twitter would like to wish you and yours a Happy IndepenDANCE Day.
Naturally, those who spotted the typo have wasted no time drawing everyone else’s attention to it.
Some have used it as a metaphor for the current political climate while others have held out hope that a nation-wide dance of patriotism might be on the horizon.
Either way, reaction has been funny AF.
Take a look at this…
This hashtag is a great snapshot of America today. #IndependanceDay pic.twitter.com/G1NjMxh5fd

Today's misspelled hashtag #independanceday" is a perfect metaphor for this clusterfuck Fox Trumphole we're in. If we can't spell it, maybe we don't deserve it.
