This woman is turning mean internet comments into wonderful embroideries
MARIE BRIAN HAS come across a lot of internet hate. Instead of letting it get to her, the cross-stitcher is choosing to ‘adorablise it’.
Posting on her blog, Brian said she spotted a mean comment by a former friend online and made the choice to handle it “by turning something mean into something frickin’ adorable”.
The result, is this cute little cross stitch

In her words, “Haters gonna hate, stitchers gonna stitch”.
Brian said it was massively cathartic and put out a call to anyone else who’d like to see their hate on a pretty piece of cloth.
They responded, and so far, she’s created these.
“One of my favourite lady bloggers received this comment”.

“For my friend Mary Ellen who received this gem in the form of a text: you are no longer relivant. [sic].”
“This one is for my friend @stephlauritzen who is a feminist writer and activist in Utah. Oh, the hate she gets! Look up slut in the dictionary you dumb wench.”
