THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE have been downloading iOS8, the newest operating system update for the iPhone and iPad which was released yesterday.

One of its key features is a predictive text engine for the keyboard, which suggests options as you begin to type a word.

It adapts its suggestions to your past conversations, apparently. And it’s still… finding its feet. Here’s what we’ve learned about it so far.
