Sound the Eurovision klaxon, Ireland's 2014 songs will be revealed tomorrow
UPDATE: We now know who the five acts are. One of them is Eoghan Quigg from X Factor.
Earlier…
BRACE YOURSELVES EUROVISION fans.
The Irish entries are coming.
We still aren’t sure we’ve forgiven Europe for what happened last year, but the show must go on.
This year the competition heads to Copenhagen, Denmark, where 3 hosts – including one of the lads from popular Danish drama Borgen – will take us through 3 nights of Eurovision madness.
There are 5 artists vying to represent Ireland in this year’s competition and you’ll be able to hear all of their songs on RTE 2fm tomorrow afternoon.
We don’t know much about the acts just yet but we do who they were chosen by: 2fm’s Cormac Battle, singer Hael Kaneswaran, tour manager Mark Muphy, music scene veteran Valerie Roe and Aslan’s Billy McGuinness.
No pressure lads. No pressure.
In less than 24 hours we’ll either be in a state of pure euphoria or lamenting the fact that we just never seem to rock and roll any more.
