Viral honeymoon video's creators get invited back to Ireland

Canadians Shannon and Stephen Parker filmed their holiday in Ireland, and the internet made it a hit.

THE NEWLYWED COUPLE who filmed their honeymoon in Ireland have been officially invited to come back, after the clip went viral.

Stephen and Shannon Parker made their 19-minute travel video A Fortnight Plus Half – An Ireland Adventure from footage they shot while travelling around the country.

It became a hit after being posted on Reddit Ireland and widely shared on social media.

And Tourism Ireland have now extended an official invitation for the couple to return. Which Shannon and Stephen have accepted (with the help of a little sponsorship from Air Canada rouge).

Niall Gibbons, Tourism Ireland CEO, said the clip was a “superb showcase of the island of Ireland”, adding:

[The video] also manages to convey the friendliness and the warm welcome people receive when they come here. It’s a fantastic compilation of some of the very best things to do on holiday in Ireland.

Here’s the video for anyone who missed it. It’s great.
