Finding the key and raiding the phone for 50ps and 20ps always seemed like a good idea until the time came to pay the bill.

4. You’d always be on time to meet someone, because you had no way to tell them you were late

5pm on Saturday evening meant 5pm on Saturday evening. “Sorry man I’m running a bit behind” just wasn’t a thing.

5. People queued overnight for tickets for a gig

If you wanted to see Oasis in Pairc Uí Chaoimh you had to put in the hours.

6. You made a reverse charges call to be picked up from the bus

8. You would just knock in to someone

Now, if you show up unannounced it’s acceptable for the other person to just hide behind the curtains until you go away.
