Mary O'Rourke talks about her 'first time' for RTÉ virginity show
FORMER TD AND Minister Mary O’Rourke has spoken out about her first sexual experiences as part of the Reality Bites TV show on RTÉ Two.
Like a Virgin – which airs this Thursday night – sees host Darren Kennedy exploring the issues surrounding virginity.
He speaks to a 30-year-old virgin, a sex surrogate who helps to ‘deflower’ people… and Mary O’Rourke:
The show explores attitudes to sex and virginity and reveals some of the realities about how young people in Ireland learn about sex, with many building their knowledge through reality shows and porn.
Dating expert Avril Mulcahy meanwhile says that there are people who wait until they’re in their thirties to have sex, and then it becomes a bigger and bigger deal:
Scott Evans is a 30-year-old Christian who has vowed to remain a virgin until after he’s married:
The show also explores the idea that there is no such thing as virginity, as well as surgeries available to women to ‘regain their flower’.
