FOUR-YEAR-OLD Monaghan boy Ceejay McArdle made a name for himself by becoming the youngest garda in Ireland at an official ceremony last year.

Ceejay was sadly diagnosed with leukaemia in September 2014 – but that hasn’t stopped him joining the Gardaí and becoming famous with police forces around the world.

And this week he took a tour of Dublin Airport

He was there to meet the Airport Police & Fire Service on Tuesday, and they had a present waiting for him out by the their trucks

He watched them hard at work

And got involved himself

Dublin Airport described his day out on Facebook:

The day was filled with surprises and Ceejay was most impressed by a demonstration by our Airport Police & Fire Service and a spin around the airfield in our fire tender. We made some attempts to recruit him into the fire service for the day that was in it, but Garda Ceejay remained loyal to An Garda Síochána. We like his style.

What a day out for the young man

Ceejay is an ambassador for Aoibheann’s Pink Tie - which is one of the daa Charities of the Year - and that explained his VIP visit to the airport this week.

Good man Ceejay <3
