WE THOUGHT WE were special. We thought we had something. But as it turns out, we’re just runners up in the hot accent game.
According to a survey carried out by Time Out magazine, the Irish accent is only the third most attractive accent in the world.
The magazine surveyed over 11,000 people in 24 cities who each had to pick the accents they found the most attractive, excluding their own.
The Irish accent came in behind the British and American accents, with 8.1% of respondents listing it as the hottest.

3. Irish 8.1%
4. Australian 8%
5. French 7.7%
6. Italian 6%
7. Spanish 4.9%
8. Scottish 4.7%
9. Latin American 4.1%
10. Scandinavian 3.3%
Tis a far cry from our number one spot among British voters.
We’re just gonna assume everyone here has been modelling the accent on Tom Cruise’s attempt.
