Cinema trip this weekend? TheJournal.ie brings you snippets from new releases to help you decide where to put your money…

WHICH NEW MOVIE release is worth the price of a cinema ticket this weekend?

We’re here to help you decide just that, with these trailers.

One Chance

(trailerobsessed/YouTube)

For fans of: True stories

Avoid if: You’d rather not hear Colm Meaney do a Liverpool accent

James Corden plays Paul Potts, the real-life shop assistant who ended up winning Britain’s Got Talent. Probably told with a large dollop of Hollywood, it features our own Colm Meaney and the wonderful Judi Dench, but may not be for those who hate saccharine stories.

  • RottenTomatoes.com critics rating: 73 per cent. Audience rating: 92 per cent want to see

Closed Circuit

(ClosedCircuitMovie/YouTube)

For fans of: CCTV, bombs

Avoid if: You hate suspense

Former lovers – Rebecca Hall and Eric Bana – are put in charge of defending alleged terrorists in a high-profile murder case. But it’s no ordinary case, and they find themselves in deep. Very deep. But are they in too deep? Etc.

  • RottenTomatoes.com critics rating: 44 per cent. Audience rating: 41 per cent want to see

Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2

(joblomovienetwork/YouTube)

For fans of: Craic

Avoid if: You’re not a fan of fantasy

Find a young relation, niece or nephew to bring to this because it looks like it has as much to offer adults as it does kids. This is crammed full of scary food – ginormous burgers, scary strawberries and even a watermelophant. Just watch out for the cheesespiders.
