WELL, IF THIS isn’t the most Irish Dad text ever…
Last summer, Colm Muldoon was in New Zealand gallivanting with a group of his pals when they met and befriended a young Korean man known as YB.
The group ended up traveling the country together and had a jolly old time. Last summer, YB decided to come to Ireland for a month and ended up meeting Colm’s family.
As Muldoon explained on the Facebook group Oh my God what a complete Aisling:
He milked some cows, footed some turf, dived headfirst into a bowl of ‘our own’ beef stew…in short, he made a stellar impression on Memmeh and Deddeh.
Fast forward to last weekend when North Korea launched a ballistic missile and Colm receives this urgent text from his father. (Sent at 6.11am, no less.)
JUST AFTER HEARING THAT LITTLE LAD IN NORTH KOREA IS AFTER FIRING ANOTHER MISSILE SAYS IT WAS A HUGE SUCESS U MAY RING YB
U MAY RING YB!
The most Irish Dad response to international conflict ever. Safe to say that YB made quite the impression, eh?
(h/t Colm Muldoon)
