This Irish Examiner Freudian slip will make you feel ancient
JOHN CARNEY’S LATEST movie Sing Street has everyone talking - and it’s set to be released in Ireland on Paddy’s Day.
So, given the film is a proper ’80s teen drama, the Irish Examiner wrote a nostalgic feature on it for today’s paper – but made an understandable mistake on the front page:
“Sing Street perfectly in tune with Ireland of 20 years ago”

Everyone over a certain age still thinks of the ’80s as 20 years ago – and this once again proves it.
We’ll have to come to terms with the 30 year reality soon though, before it quickly becomes 40.
