The Irish hockey team all took their tops off in tribute to a losing Olympian last night

Fitting.

IRISH BADMINTON STAR Scott Evans got knocked out of the last 16 in the Olympics last night – after making history in becoming the first Irishman to win a badminton match at the games.

But what Evans has really been known for are his topless celebrations after his victory.

And just after his loss last night, the Irish hockey team paid him a very fitting tribute from the stands

And Evans returned the compliment – going topless on court for one last time in Rio

They were great scenes – they went “full Evans”

Appreciated by everyone watching on

The Irish hockey team are having a good time now

And Evans definitely appreciated it

A bright moment in what was a disappointing day in Rio for Ireland.

Well played lads <3
