WELL, WE MADE it. We’ve done a full week back in work, and lived to tell the tale.
There is no doubt though that this weekend will require a lot of down time during which you can take it easy and give your brain a bit of a rest.
Fortunately we’re here to give you some suggestions as to what to enjoy on the telly.
If want something to give out about… Things We Love and Hate (Fri, TV3, 22:00)
It doesn’t really matter how good this new Irish show is, because as a nation, we love giving out about Irish made programming.
So, tonight you can give out about this new comedy series which features comedians talking about ‘topics of Irish popular culture’.
If you are fantasising about a holiday… Italy Unpacked (Fri, BBC2, 21:00)
This series seed BBC culture guy Andrew Graham-Dixon and chef Giorgio Locatelli exploring Italy along with its history, culture, food and art.
The details aren’t important. What’s important is that if you warm up your imagination you can pretend you’re there with them.
If you want to feel some Irish pride… The Jonathan Ross Show (Sat, UTV, 21:45)
This is always entertaining, and tonight will be no different with actor Aaron Eckhart, Torvill and Dean, Griff Rhys Jones and Karen Brady on the couch.
However, this week there’s an Irish element too as Swords lads Kodaline feature as the musical guest.
If you want to feel better about the weather… Twister (Sun, RTE2, 21:00)
The weather has been pretty bleak, but things could be worse.
If you haven’t gotten that from the polar vortex, this super film about tornadoes will remind you.
If you want to beat the Sunday blues… It’ll Be Alright on the Night’s Best of the Worst (Sun, C4, 21:00)
Is there anything that makes you feel better than other people’s mistakes? No. No there is not.
This compilation of the brilliant TV bloopers will finish the weekend off with a laugh.
