Caio Benicio talks to The Journal reporter Eimer McAuley about the horrific incident.
The 43-year-old Brazilian says he is praying for the young girl who is in a serious condition in hospital.
"It looks like they hate immigrants. Well I am an immigrant, and I did what I could to try and save that little girl," he said when asked about tonight's riots.
