Italian fans turn out for Clooney's court appearance
GEORGE CLOONEY drew in the crowds as he arrived at a Milan court to testify in fraud case on Friday.
Three people were in court accused of using Clooney’s name to promote a line of clothing without his permission. The “GC Exclusive by George Clooney” line was marketed in 2008.
Clooney testified through the help of a translator.
He said that he felt was important to testify in person as his fans stood to be exploited by the fraud.
The presiding judge – who said that the courtroom seemed like a film set with the Clooney present – banned filming in the court room, which was predominately female.
