REGULAR READERS OF TheJournal.ie will at this stage be well accustomed to our Friday tradition that was inspired by donkeys but has taken on a life of its own in recent weeks.

We’ve had penguins, otters, koalas, dogs in santa hats and last week the incredible red pandas and thanks to suggestions from you the readers and enthusiastic staff in the office there is plenty more animals to fill slideshows in the coming weeks, months and years. Yes, years.

But back to today and consider the baby duckling: tiny, cute and in plentiful supply. Enjoy:
