It's Friday, so here's a slideshow of macaques from around the world

It feels like Fridays were made for ‘ooohing’ and ‘aaahing’ over cute macaques and their antics.

AFTER SOME CAREFUL thought and deliberation, for the Friday slideshow, filled to the brim with animal cuteness, TheJournal.ie brings you macaques.

Their furry little bodies, adorable big dark eyes, human-like hands and cheek pouches that can store the same amount of food as their stomachs, can be found hanging out in large groups in hot springs or annoying locals and tourists in New Delhi, India.

While there are 22 macaque species to love, hug, and squeeze, don’t touch them. Ever. Nearly all macaques carry the herpes B virus (ouch!), which could kill, so they make pretty unsuitable pets.

While pugs, anteaters and baby polar bears might make safer animals to lovingly adore, macaques are still really cute, so here we go:
